Glendora Cross Country

No Fear No Pain No Defeat

Glendora Cross Country - No Fear No Pain No Defeat

THREE Things You Need to Know

1. There’s a new Season Schedule – we’re pretty sure it won’t change.  Find it HERE.

2. There’s a parent meeting on Wednesday, July 24 at 7:30 pm for those whose kids are going to Mammoth.  You will want to be in the GHS Teachers’ Lounge  to get all the info that is available as well as to confirm that your paperwork is in order.

3. We’ve added a page called HOT LINKS that lists direct links to all the important info you might need to reference repeatedly during the upcoming season.  It currently has the schedule and the most recent Top Ten Performers list.  You’ll find it on the right hand side of this page, under the heading GHS XC Info.

Welcome Coach Steve!

CoachSteveWe are pleased to announce Steve Sumner as the new GHS Boys Cross Country Coach.  Coach Steve returns to Glendora after a four year break; having coached alongside his father from 2001-2009, as both an assistant and Girls Head Coach.

Coach Steve has been involved in the sport for nearly 35 years.  As an athlete, his career highlights include being a scoring member of 2 national championship teams in both track and cross-country as well as a top 10 individual finish at the TAC (USATF) National Cross Country Championships as a youth athlete.  In addition, he has had privilege of coaching many youth and adult athletes as a Head Coach and/or Program Developer for the LA Marathon, New Las Vegas Marathon, OC Marathon and the American Heart Association.

Coach Steve is very grateful for the opportunity to continue in Coach Sumner’s footsteps.
